Grade One Weekly News
October 12th - October 16th
Dear Grade One parents,
We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We certainly have lots of things to be thankful for this year!
Friday was a great day at school with the Pumpkin Patch appearing on our big field! The children had a blast choosing their pumpkins then painting a picture of them back in class. Photos will be posted very soon!
This week we will be introducing Pac Man math which teaches the language of more than/less than/equal to. In math, we will carry on with graphing, practising tally charts, and making bar graphs. In Christian Ed we are almost at the end of our Creation theme and how we can be Caretakers of Creation. In science, we have been learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin and we will be cutting open one this week and investigating all the different parts.
Login information for Razkids will be coming home on Tuesday so the children will have the opportunity to do some home reading.
