Walk-a-thon 2025: Gotta Catch 'em All!

Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce that our annual Walkathon is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for Friday, May 2nd, as we come together for a fun-filled day that celebrates fitness, school spirit, and giving back.

This year, our fundraising goal is $50,000. We are directing 75% of the funds toward renovating our eight primary classrooms, which have faithfully served our community for over 40 years and are now due for a much-needed refresh. Renovations will include new walls, paint, and cabinetry to ensure a clean, efficient, modern, and inspiring learning environment for our youngest students.

The remaining 25% of the funds will be donated to Chalice, a Catholic organization dedicated to supporting children in missions around the world. Each class will take part in deciding how their donation portion will be used, making this a meaningful and educational experience for our students as they connect with global communities in need.

To help us reach our goal:

  • Each student is encouraged to bring in $100 in pledges.

  • Each class has a goal of $3,000, with Kindergarten aiming for $2,000.

  • Classes that meet their goal will win a pizza party, and the top-earning class in both the primary and intermediate divisions will receive a class trip to the movies!

To make this even more fun, this year’s Walkathon will feature a Pokémon theme—with skits, games, and prizes building up to the big day!

A few important reminders:

  • Pledge forms are due by Thursday, May 1st to count toward your class total.

  • Total pledge payment (submitted as one cheque per family) are due by Monday, May 5th.

This Walkathon is a longstanding tradition at our school, and we’re so grateful for your continued support in making it a success year after year. Let’s work together to make this one of our most impactful and memorable Walkathons yet!

Thank you for your generosity and school spirit!

Sincerely
Jason Borkowski
