Traffic Safety
Parents,
Dr. Bonnie Henry has a catch-phrase: “be kind, be calm, be safe.” This motto applies to more than just COVID-19, it applies very much to safety in our school parking lot.
Here are some ways to “be kind” in the parking lot:
- Allow other drivers to go in front of you or pull out from a parking spot
- Pull all the way forward in the drop off zone
- Leave the drop-off zone quickly to allow other drivers to pull forward
Here are some ways to “be calm” in the parking lot:
- Greet other drivers with a smile and a wave
- Wait patiently while others are pulling in front of you or take too long in the drop off zone
- Follow instructions of all staff and volunteers managing the parking lot
Here are some ways to “be safe” in the parking lot:
- Drivers must stay in their vehicles in the drop-off zone
- Drive slowly at all times
- Make room or wait when others are backing into parking spots
I know we are all in a hurry to get somewhere, especially in the mornings, but tragedies can occur in a split second. Please be kind, be calm, and be safe in our parking lot.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jason Borkowski
Principal
