Changes to OnVolunteer

The new ONVolunteer portal is open and families have been successfully registering for shifts. Thank you to all who have signed up. We are experiencing a few technical issues and we’ve identified a few changes to the portal:

  • More than one PIN per family: if a family has more than one registered parent user (mother and father), each user has their own PIN. To see the pin each user must log in to ONVolunteer using their own email. When checking in/out on the office iPad for a shift, you MUST use the PIN of the parent signed up for the shift.

  • Technical issues with the Check in/out office iPad: In order to receive PPP credit for your shift, you must check in AND out using the office iPad. We are occasionally experiencing issues with the iPad. Until this is fixed, if you are unable to check in/out, please inform the office staff, so they can ensure you receive PPP credit for your shift.

Changes to the Parent Participation Program

As communicated in the 2026-2027 registration package, the following changes have been made to PPP effective this school year.

Switching to Pay-in-Lieu AFTER January 30

If a family chooses to switch to the Pay-in-Lieu option after January 30, the fee incured will be an additional $100 on top of the pay-in-lieu amount. This additional fee helps support the school when the switch happens mid-year. This fee will also apply to any families that complete 0 hours by the end of the year. Families who fail to complete any volunteer hours by the end of the school year will be deemed ‘Pay-in-Lieu’ and will therefore be subject to the additional $100 fee at the end of the year.

Clear No-Show Policy

To help with planning and ensure fairness to all families, we will be introducing a simple and clear no-show rule:

  • A no-show means not attending a scheduled shift without giving prior notice

  • After three no-shows, a family will be automatically moved to the Pay-in-Lieu option for the remainder of the year
