COVID-19 Related Parent Participation Program Announcement

Parents of Star of the Sea School,

In conjunction with the public health orders directed at containing the spread of Covid-19, the Parent Participation Program (PPP) will be flexible and fluid throughout the 2020-2021 school year. 

As it stands right now, opportunities for volunteering are extremely limited. While outdoor work and after-hours volunteer opportunities are still possible, any work done near children or staff are off limits.

In fairness to all families, we are rolling back our expectation of total hours required and/or prepayments by 10%. We will review this policy month-by-month, with each month the program is delayed resulting in a further 10% reduction. No “in lieu” cheques will be cashed until the program is fully re-implemented.

Please stay informed by reading all school emails and checking the school website regularly. All updates will be available through those two outlets.
