Uniform Specifications

Our school uniform is worn on regular school days and to all school sponsored events including extra-curricular practices, games, meets, walkathon and field trips.

Boys Uniform

  • Navy dress pants or dress shorts.

  • White golf shirt with school logo, tucked into waist band.

  • All black or navy socks with no visible logos.

  • All black or navy shoes with no visible logos.

  • School sweater is mandatory (and must be at school every day): Choices are pullover, cardigan or sweater vest.

  • Hair must be kept neat and tidy, non-distracting, and of a natural colour.

  • No jewelry except for simple watches (not connected to internet).

 

Girls Uniform

  • Tartan tunic or skort, not more than 3” above or 1” below the knee.

  • Navy dress pants with navy or black socks.

  • White golf shirt with school logo, tucked into waist band.

  • Navy knee high socks or navy tights to be worn with tunic or skort.

  • All black or navy shoes (heels no higher than 1 ½ inches).

  • School sweater is mandatory (must be at school every day): Choices are pullover, cardigan or sweater vest.

  • Hair must be kept neat and tidy, non-distracting, and of a natural colour.

  • Make-up and nail polish are not permitted.

  • No jewelry except for small earrings and simple watches (not connected to internet).

 

Gym Strip

  • Blue gym shirt

  • Navy Shorts

  • Athletic runners (non-scuff). No slip on runners or skate shoes - mandatory for safety reasons - students without proper runners must sit out.

  • Navy school sweat suit.

  • Optional – white athletic socks (for PE only).

  • To reduce congestion in our change rooms during the COVID-19 pandemic, students are permitted to wear their PE strip on days they have PE. Students wearing PE strip to school are required to have the school sweatpants and sweatshirt with them at school on PE days.

 

Outdoor Recess

  • Non-gym runners may be worn at recess.  

How to Order Uniforms

Star of the Sea school uniforms are available online from Cambridge Uniforms.

All new uniform articles must be purchased from our supplier to keep our uniform consistent.

SOS Boutique: Used Uniforms

You can donate or sell your good quality used uniform items as follows:

  1. Donate

    SOS Boutique accepts quality used Cambridge uniform items for donation.

    Bring clean, quality items (no stains, holes, rips/tears, unraveling of knit items, faded colours or discoloured whites) to the school office.

    Items not appropriate for SOS Boutique will be donated.

  2. Sell

    We provide opportunities to sell your quality used Cambridge uniform items through the SOS Boutique.

    Hang on to those clean items for dates to be announced.

    Unsold items will be returned to families after the event. Only donated items will be kept.

Uniform Enforcement

  1. First infraction:
    Teacher to give student a verbal reminder to be corrected by next day.

  2. Second infraction (within a week):
    Teacher to give student a uniform infraction note to be signed or acknowledged by email from parent to be corrected by next day

  3. Third infraction:
    Teacher to email/phone home to develop an action plan.

  4. Multiple infractions:
    Teacher to inform administration if infraction becomes chronic (multiple weeks/multiple infractions). Administration to get involved.
