February & March

It has been a busy and exciting time in Grade Two! We began with Catholic Schools Week, where students celebrated what makes our Catholic community special. One of our favourite activities was creating hearts with the message “I love you” written in many different languages. This was a wonderful way to celebrate kindness, diversity, and the many cultures within our school community.

Valentine’s Day was a fun time in our class. Students created Valentine mailboxes and beautiful art projects. A highlight of the day was exchanging Valentine cards with classmates and playing the Mystery Heart game, which brought lots of excitement and laughter. 💌 Their hearts were unique and artistic, showing lots of creativity.

Lent began with a school Mass on Ash Wednesday. Students are exploring the meaning of Lent and its traditions. Each student made a personal promise about something they will do or change during this special season.

A lot of learning has taken place this term. Some of the main highlights include studying penguins and exploring countries from around the world. Students were excited to discover new facts, share what they learned, and make connections to different cultures and habitats. It has been a fun and engaging term full of curiosity and discovery.
