Star of the Sea Cross Country Meet - Friday, Sept 20th

SOS MEET is Sept 20 at SCHOOL

CROSS COUNTRY runners should come to school for 8:55 start, DRESSED for their race! Athletes will stay in class until it is time for their race!

Parents are welcome to come and cheer- please line up along the PARKING LOT side of the Big Field.

The first race is Gr. 7 and 6 at the same time, after the Gr. 7Assembly at 9:40 am.

RIBBONS will be given out after EACH RACE.

SCHEDULE:

10:00 Grade 7, then Grade 6 (RIBBONS at 10:20)

10:30 RECESS for the whole school

10:50 Grade 5 BOYS then GIRLS (RIBBONS)

11:30 Grade 4 BOYS then GIRLS (RIBBONS)

(LUNCH)

1:10 Grade 3 BOYS then GIRLS (RIBBONS)

1:45 Grade 2 BOYS then GIRLS (RIBBONS)

2:30 Grade 1 “FUN RUN” BOYS/ GIRLS (RIBBONS)

NOTE:

This SOS Meet is the end of the season for most runners. Competitive Runners, wanting to be considered for the CISVA Championship should continue to come to the following practices: Sept 23 and 25.

A PERMISSION FORM for the CISVA Championship Meet will be sent home Sept. 25 for the consistently fastest 4 girls and 4 boys PER GRADE. Attendance, performance at practices, as well as the SOS Meet results, are considered when selecting this year’s team.

There is a MANDATORY final practice for CISVA runners on TUESDAY October 1st.

The CISVA MEET is on Wednesday, October 2nd at Swangard Stadium.
