Sexuality and Your Child Parent Course

Parents of Star of the Sea School,

Archbishop Miller has mandated that all schools in the CISVA offer parents resources, including a parent evening, to assist them in developing the children’s understanding of sexuality.

This year, due to COVID, we have prepared an online course for parents to participate in at home and at the time of their choosing. It is expected that all families in Grades 4 to 7 will participate in this course, although parents of children of all ages are welcome to take part.

The course consists of brief written reflections, short but engaging videos, and opportunities for personal reflection. There are also optional longer talks by important and influential experts like Bishop Robert Barron and Dr. Gordon Neufeld. Without the optional videos, the entire course should take about 30 to 45 minutes.
