Safe Streets additional shifts

Safe Streets has added an extra volunteer to each morning and afternoon shift. This fourth Safe Streets volunteer will be primarily responsible for monitoring the crosswalk on 150th street and ensure student safety along that road.

If your family has already completed or signed up for the mandatory 2 safe street shifts, please refrain from signing up for these new shifts to allow families that have not yet secured their 2 mandatory shifts to do so.


Assistance with a school mail out

We require 8 volunteers to assist the office with a mail out on Monday, January 15 from 1pm to 3pm. The task includes: folding flyers, stuffing and labeling envelopes.

Grade 5 Basketball Tournament Concessions

We are excited to once again be offering a concession during our annual Grade 5 Basketball Tournaments:

Thursday, January 25 - Grade 5 Boys Tournament Concession open from 9am to 3:30pm (PPP shifts are 8:30am to 12:30pm and 12pm to 4pm)

Thursday, February 1 - Grade 5 Girls Tournament Concession open from 9am to 3:30pm (PPP shifts are 8:30am to 12:30pm and 12pm to 4pm)

Volunteer tasks include (but limited to), setting up the concessions, selling food and drinks throughout the day, clean up and takedown of the concession.

Child Minding for Student Led Conferences - March 6

We require parent volunteers to provide Child-minding in the Learning Commons during the upcoming Student-Led Conferences on March 6. Please note this job includes managing/providing supervision and activities for Star of the Sea students and pre-school aged siblings aged 3+.

Laminating

We are looking for 2 parent volunteers that are available for 2-3 hours every 2 weeks (on your preferred week day), for the balance of the school year, starting the week of January 22. Training will be provided on the first shift. If you are interested, please contact the school office to inquire about the position.

Important Reminders for Parent Volunteers

A reminder to all volunteers to please ensure they check in / out with the office iPad for every scheduled shift. If you fail to check in / out, you will be considered a “No Show” and will not receive credit for your shift.

If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer shift, please ensure you notify the office so that the shift can be released to other school families.
