Weekly Maintenance and Workbees

The first set of Weekly Maintenance tasks and Workbees will be posted on OnVolunteer during the week of August 18. This will give parents plenty of time to sign up and help ensure we have enough support to get started promptly at the beginning of the school year. Please keep an eye out for these opportunities on the volunteer portal.

Safe Streets September to December

The first session of Safe Street shifts will be posted on OnVolunteer during the week of August 18. 

Safe Streets: This role is very important to the safety of our students. Your presence and visibility on our streets at pickup and drop-off will help achieve the overall goal of ensuring that everyone makes it onto the school grounds safely. Please be alert and responsive during your shift, dressed for the weather and welcoming to all who arrive and depart.

Each participating family is required to volunteer a minimum of 2 Safe Streets Shifts per year.

Before performing your first shift please refer to the SAFE STREETS video on the school website or alternatively refer to handbook located at the office at the check in area.               

Gala Class Projects

The Gala committee is looking for creative people to join the Class Projects team for this upcoming year.

Class Project Team Role:

  • The class projects will be approved by the Gala Committee prior to the start of the school year

  • Team members are welcome to submit an idea for approval

  • Team members will be assigned a class project by the Gala Committee

  • Team members must have a valid criminal record check on file with the school office

  • Once assigned to a class project, team member(s) must work directly with classroom teachers to schedule convenient times to work with students

  • Team members must keep track of their hours. Team members will earn a minimum of 15 PPP hours. If the project takes more than 15 hours, team members will submit the hours to the Gala Committee for approval
