Invitation to Parish 100th Anniversary Celebration April 28

Parents,

The parish will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special event on Sunday, April 28th. Archbishop Miller will celebrate the 11 a.m. Mass and will stay afterwards to join our parish community in celebrating 100 years of Catholic excellence in White Rock and South Surrey.

Fr. Augustine has personally requested that as many students as possible join us at Mass and stay afterwards to sing together for the Archbishop's “Hail Queen of Heaven Ocean Star.” If you’ve ever heard the students sing that song at Mass, you will know why. They love it and sing the “Star of the Sea” line with so much joy and pride that it can literally bring a tear to my eye.

The reception with the Archbishop will happen immediately after 11 am Mass. Students who RSVP to sing are invited to attend the reception. To ensure the parish office has a correct estimate for the reception, all other attendees must purchase tickets from the parish office.

BTW as an added incentive, I will have freezies for the kids to take home after they sing.

We request that students attend in full uniform to show our Star of the Sea pride.
