Advent- a time of joyful waiting

Our class has been preparing for the birth of Jesus. Each day we have an Advent Ceremony. The candles are lit and Bible stories are shared. Each student had the opportunity to add an ornament to our Jesse Tree.

Family Christmas Traditions

The class presentations were outstanding, and the posters proudly displayed traditions that make this time of the year so special.

We have all enjoyed learning about each others heartfelt traditions.

Holidays around the World

Students have traveled all around the world and learned about holiday traditions in a variety of countries. They viewed slide shows that explained ways people celebrate during the Christmas and New Year seasons. The study included geography lessons, mapping skills, creative writing, comprehension skills, and fine arts. They have all returned from their travels, but now they have the “travel bug."
