Non-Uniform Day in Support of the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund

On Tuesday, September 29, we will have a non-uniform day, as we prepare to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Students who choose to come out of uniform are asked to bring a minimum donation of $2 to support the Archdiocesan Indigenous Reconciliation Fund, which supports a variety of Indigenous reconciliation initiatives.

On September 29, our school community will also gather for a special assembly. We are honoured to welcome Solange Legal, a Catholic Métis singer and Indigenous Reconciliation Consultant for the Archdiocese of Vancouver. Solange will share her new song, Restore Us , with our students and help us enter into this important time of reflection through music and prayer.

As a Catholic school community, we are committed to learning about Indigenous histories, cultures, and experiences, while seeking meaningful ways to put reconciliation into action. We hope that this day will provide our students with an opportunity to learn, listen, reflect, pray, and contribute.
