Mini-Hoopers Basketball Program

 

We are excited to offer Star of the Sea's first "Mini-Hoopers" program for students in Grade 3 and 4 this Spring! "Mini-hoopers" is a fun opportunity for students who are not yet old enough for our school teams to learn and play basketball.

When & Where: 

Mini-hoopers will take place on most Friday afternoons from 3 to 4:30pm in our school Gym.
Dates: April 14, 28 May 5, 12, 19, 26, June 2, 9

Who:

Mini-Hoopers is for kids in Grades Three and Four. We are capping enrollment at 30 and will give first priority to Grade 4 students. The first 15 Grade Four boys and 15 Grade Four girls to sign up will be admitted first. Students in Grade 3 will be admitted on a first-signed-up basis if there are spots remaining after the Grades Fours have been admitted.

Cost:

There will be a cost of $50. This will include a reversible jersey for each athlete and miscellaneous expenses (i.e. treats and prizes). Remaining proceeds will go towards the purchase of new official team basketballs for the school.

How to Pay:

1. Submit the permission form ASAP - deadline is Wednesday, March 29.

2. The school office will email to confirm your child is enrolled.

3. Once confirmation received from the school office, you can submit payment to the school office. Cash or Cheque

Coaches:

Mr. Borkowski will act as staff sponsor. Mr. Chris Ufford, a school parent who has coached at the high school and community levels, will lead the program. He will be assisted by other parent coaches.
