Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
We urgently need 10 more rides (seat belts) for our upcoming field trip. Unfortunately, if we do not have enough drivers, we will have to cancel the trip. Please contact your child’s teacher if you can help.
All Kindergarten classes will be going to Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday, October 9th. If you have offered to drive and supervise children other than your own, please ensure your driver’s authorization is updated and you have a current criminal record check. If you are not able to attend with your child, please be sure to send their booster seat (labelled with name) with your child on that day. More information regarding the trip will be emailed out prior to October. 9th.
Prayer Focus for the Beginning of the Year
We have learned the Sign of the Cross, the Morning Offering, Grace, the Hail Mary and the Guardian Angel prayer already this year. Ask your child to show you how they can pray these prayers at home during your family prayer times. Click the link for a copy of some of these prayers.
October Homework Calendar
Homework calendars have been sent home in your child’s planner and are completely optional. If you choose to complete some/all of the activities, please indicate which ones you have done and send the calendar back to school on November 1st for a small prize.
Hot Lunch
Hot lunches begin this month. They arrive at noon, so please ensure your child has a recess snack on these days as well as a water bottle. Many children drink throughout the day and will not be able to wait until their juice arrives at lunchtime. We will send home any uneaten food so that you are aware of what your child likes or dislikes for future orders. Please let your child know if you have or have not ordered lunch for them.
Library Books
Just a reminder that Kindergarten has library on Fridays and book exchange will be starting. Please ensure your child’s book is returned on or before Friday morning.
Seesaw
Please ensure you have connected to your child’s Seesaw account and check it often to see their work, self-reflections and photos.
Rainy Day Procedures
On a rainy morning, please bring your child to the school lobby. Please wait to be met by one of our kindergarten EAs, who will escort them to the classroom to help ensure a smooth transition and a happy day.
