Grade One Loves Science

On Monday 30th January we had a “Field Trip” in our Classroom! Cosmic Karen the scientist from High Tough High Tech visited both Grade One classrooms to teach us about the three states of Matter - solid, liquid and gas!

We used pipettes to move water molecules, made CO2 gas in a balloon by mixing vinegar and baking soda, and also made oobleck to bring home which acts as both a liquid and a solid, based on the applied pressure!
