Community BBQ Was a HUGE Success
Our May 10th Community BBQ turned out to be a GIANT success! Well over 800 people attended and enjoyed good food and a sense of community we haven’t had since before the pandemic.
An event like this doesn’t happen without a great deal of hard work and planning. First and foremost, thank you to Mr. Peter Link, who not only ordered and prepared the food for the evening, but was the driving force behind the vision of the entire event. I’ve never seen someone so focussed and energized for such a prolonged period. Thank you Peter for making this an amazing night for the entire community.
Special thanks also go out to Mrs. Meister and the parents on the Special Events Committee who gave their time and talent. Mrs. Campagne got the staff organized and every staff member contributed to serving dinner and maintaining the grounds. Many Grade Seven students, especially Austen, spent time setting up for the evening. There are too many people to thank everyone individually but thank you so much to all.
