Changes to Communicating Student Learning

We’d like to introduce a few changes to our student reporting this year. Based on family feedback and in compliance with Ministry of Education requirements, we’ve created a more personal and useful way to communicate student progress. What you previously knew as “Progress Reports” will now be called Learning Updates. This new format is designed to provide clearer, more personalized insights into each student’s learning, focusing on strengths, areas for growth, and actionable next steps in each subject.

Our Learning Updates also include insights into core competencies and a section for student self-reflection, encouraging students to engage with their own progress and goals.

To learn more about these changes and how they’ll benefit you and your child, I’ve put together a short video (below) that walks through each part of the Learning Update and explains the thinking behind this new approach. Additional information for parents and families about the changes to assessment and reporting can be found here.

Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback as we work together to support each child’s learning journey.
