Celebrating Indigenous People- Learning About the Cedar Tree of Life

We loved sitting outside under the trees in the “Outdoor Classroom” to learn about how and why the Cedar Tree was so important to the West Coast People. We learned how they honoured the tree before they cut down the tree to use its wood for masks, canoes, houses, and totem poles and its bark for weaving baskets, skirts and blankets.
