Announcement of Changes in Gr.4A
Parents,
What a year so far! I want to begin by thanking you for your patience and cooperation as we have navigated a challenging year. The uncertainty of Mrs. Shami’s status could have been a problem had it not been for your patience and the nearly heroic efforts of Mrs. Eggertson and Mrs. Campagne. I am writing to you today to let you know about developments that will allow us to provide a stable and consistent classroom environment for the remainder of the year.
As you know, Mrs. Shami, expecting her first child, has been away for the majority of the school year. While all is well with the baby, it has been decided by Mrs. Shami and her doctors that she will not be returning for the remainder of the school year.
Mrs. Eggerston, who was at first hired to fill in on a week-by-week, and then a month-by-month basis, never intended to commit to an entire year. I wish to publicly thank her for her great commitment to the students. As she is unable to accept the position until the end of June, Mrs. Eggertson will have her final day with the students on Thursday, January 28th. Mrs. Campagne will be returning to her role as Vice-Principal and Learning Support Teacher.
Your children need and deserve a stable, predictable environment. To this end, Mrs. Karen Borkowski will be taking over as the full-time Gr. 4A teacher for the remainder of the school year. Mrs. Borkowski has been teaching since 1992, including time as a Gr. 4 teacher. Her experience, warmth, and high standards will provide your children with everything they need.
Thank you again for your patience and cooperation. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jason Borkowski
Principal
